Social Group

A while back we asked a lot of our clients for their interest in going to a social group if we were to organise one for them. The vast majority of them were very keen and as a result, we have organised a regular Social Group.

The group is mostly client led, and we provide a different range of activities for people to do, should they choose to, therefore people aren't be forced to take part in anything they didn't wish to be. It's a very laid back, relaxed and friendly group, and it enables people to meet up with those in similar circumstances to their own and have a good natter and put the world to rights! It includes a buffet style lunch and tea and coffee facilities are also available.

When? The first social group meet will be on Thursday 9th May 2019.

 Where? Joseph Hadlum Court, Eastern Avenue, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1AF

What Time? 10:30am – 2:30pm (flexible as the social group develops)

 How Much? The cost is £15 for the day, this is to help cover the costs of the venue/lunch and staff, if transport is required this will incur an extra £10 charge to be collected and returned home. For the clients that live at Joseph Hadlum Court there will be a reduced cost of £10 for the day with lunch, or £5 without (as we understand you have lunch provided as a resident anyway, so can go and use the restaurant as normal.)

 Is there Lunch? Yes a buffet style lunch is provided.

 How Do I Pay? Payment isn’t required on the day and will just be added to your monthly invoice.

Please contact us on 01233 612224 (you may have to leave a message) to confirm your place, or let your community support worker know.

We have a vast range of clients in the community now and get to know all their personalities and very often see characters that we believe would really enjoy each other’s company. We see all too often that for some people, days are long, and you can go for some time before seeing visitors other than ourselves, so why not meet up with people like yourself in a similar position who are understanding of your situation? We can also help introduce you to each other in a less stressful environment. The venue is held in the activity room in a purpose built independent living accommodation, which also helps give people an insight into what other types of accommodation are available should people be interested.
